‘Into the Woods’ Opens to Enthusiastic Audiences

~~ Playhouse 395 offers discounted tickets to First Responders on March 10 ~~

Playhouse 395’s production of Into the Woods opened last weekend to audiences who were lead into an epic fairytale full of twists and turns and complex themes, intriguing and complicated music performed by the 16-piece orchestra under the direction of Mark Hatter, and an all-star cast adorned in amazing costumes. As theater-goers left the theater they could be heard exclaiming over the awe-inspiring local talent that always presents itself in the Playhouse plays, with much praise for not only the cast and orchestra but for the costume designers, make-up artists, and set designers.

The audience is first introduced to the story and invited into the woods by Narrator Dave Hardin, who also serves as co-director of the play along with Martha Reynolds. Under their direction and vision the alluring woodland set was designed and constructed and the cast was coached into bringing alive many beloved fairytale characters such as Cinderella, Rapunzel, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack of beanstalk fame, a couple of charming princes, a wolf, a giant, a witch and an unforgettable cow “as white as milk.”

The Playhouse 395 Board of Directors is proud of this play and has decided to announce that they will be offering a First Responder Appreciation Performance on Saturday March 10. Discounted tickets will be available to First Responders who will be able to purchase up to four tickets with one valid ID, for $5 each.
